“When I was much younger, so much younger than today…”
I used to think that everyone’s behaviour was very strange.
So I thought there was something wrong with me.
Now I am much older, most people’s behaviour seems amazingly bizarre.
Now I know it is not me, it is them. And that’s the way it is here.
Only going out for a short time each week it is becoming more obvious.
I suppose the main observation would be: unconscious.
Just not being present to what is being said or done.
Vastly different levels of behaviour.
Here in Australia there is just an outcry from the revaluation of how cattle are treated when they are sent live to Indonesia for slaughter.
(If you are at all easily upset, don’t check it out – it can disturb you for a very long time. You may even have to stop eating meat!
And cultures are different. What is highly disturbing to one, is quite normal to another. Levels of consciousness evolvement?
(When I mention not eating meat some people point out that everything has a consciousness. In my experience, absolutely so. So how come we don’t eat people? – we have too many already!)
And even in the same culture, look around – amazing what is accepted as normal. And it ain’t getting no better. In fact, seems to be getting worse.
A lot worse.
So how are we doing –you and I. Are we becoming more aware? Sensitive?
More caring and loving? Everything starts (and finishes) with each one of us.
Sending love…
PS:
And not only cattle in Indonesia…
