Has many depths - and most of them are not what you think.
Suggestion: Do not trust; and do not be untrusting - just be here now.
One way of seeing it:
Trust can be seen as manipulation - to try to insure you get what you want -
in what you call the future.
And not trusting - a way of insuring/insulating yourself from disappointment
- in case you do not get your projected desire.
If you are trusting, or not trusting, you are not in the moment.
Life is only in the moment.
That is what life is - the endless moment. No beginning, no end.
Marriage vows:
"Until death us do part." (With that statement your freedom has just died.)
Or as the recently married celebrities' daughter just vowed:
"The life that I have is yours"
And that to a banker - who are not renowned for their trustworthiness.
(Wedding cost reported as $3,000,000 plus.)
Trust is of the future - over which which none of us have any control. None.
We can think we can control, but in fact life will do whatever it decides.
I trust you to... attempted control.
I do realise the following is not getting over. Never has.
(Accept on some drug trips, and The Satori Group -

There is only this moment. This very moment.
Anything else is just a conjecture of the mind -
based on the past and projected into an imagined future.
There is no such thing as the future. There is only now. This now.
What you have projected may come to pass - but not in the future.
When/if it happens it happens in the moment. There is no future.
(Please remember that in future!)
The next thing. If you feel hurt because someone 'does not keep their
promise' it is not them that has hurt you - it is you hurting yourself -
because you are not accepting who they are in that moment.
"I want my way!" Pain is resistance to what is.
(You can promise to give a thousand dollars - but if you find out that the
money will be used for unpleasant purposes, you change your mind.)
Suggestion: Forget what you think is the future, and be total in the moment.
Totally total - just for that very moment. Try it. Experiment.
(When you are having sex: this is the first, and last time.
You will be amazed how much deeper will be the experience.)
Of course there is lots more.
Let's see how you get on with your experience of that -
through your sharing's...
